Family Navigators
What Navigators do
Family Navigators support families to deal with challenges, achieve their goals and aspirations, they help navigate the often complicated path to find solutions and services. Navigators places families at the centre of decision making and supports them to build a better future.
Navigators work with families by:
starting by asking families what they want to achieve for themselves, and then offer flexible support to families to move beyond crisis into identifying and achieving medium and long-term goals for sustained improvements
using a wrap around, holistic approach that focuses on everything important to a family’s wellness, including : culture and community, psychosocial and physical health, education and employability, economics and housing and more
recognizing that each family has a different set of circumstances, skills, knowledge and experiences and what works well for one family does not work well for other families
Once families have identified their goals, your Navigator goes to work with your family to find the right services at Native Montreal or with any other services providers out there
